Rome

Ahh as most of you know I have been on a field trip for the past couple of days. I went to Rome, then to Slovenia.
Rome was amazing, my group stayed in a hostel which wasn t that great. no hot water or toilet paper, but it was cheap. It was the day after the Popes funeral. So people were leaving Rome as soon as possible. Rome was also rainy and wet, which from what I heard was not common at all. Anyway it rained the whole time. I went to the colosseum the vacitcan museum, the forum, circus maxuis, the paratheon and the mouth of truth, the spanish steps and the Trevi fountian. . All the tourist spots pretty much. I liked it. the itailian people were not as nice as I expected but that is ok. I saw a lot of art. Raphels School of Athens, a lot of Berlini fountians, a lot of oblisks and so much articterure. It was grand. The city is very weirdly structured. We took a train to venice, and ate lunch by the canels and shopped a bit. I found it very calm.
For the past couple of days we have been in slovenia, which I love. The people here are so nice and friendly. There is much more of a language barrier here than in roma where everyopne almost speaks english, but here it is very rare. I am getting along fine, it is hard understand the exchange rate from dollars, to pounds, to euros to tollars (slovenian currency). You always hear our group say "so how much was that beer in pounds and in dollars.....?" We have academic talks every daz we are here., all day. I like it a lot. We only have free time at night. There is a nice bar at our hostel so we are keeping plenty busy :)
I wish I could write more but I am sooooooooooo tired and I have to get up in a couple of hours........
