Hiroshima

My class went to Hiroshima for an Area Studies class. We have to to write 2-4 page papers about the experience. Here is mine. (which goes against all the rules, but I wanted to do it like this :)

Subsequent generations will apologize
By folding pieces of paper

We will feel the Christian guilt
Of the Sins of Our fathers


Some will cry, some will be numb
Others will pass responsibly

Are we any better? Are we any worse?
How far does the apple fall from the tree?

How far does a bullet have to travel before it kills
some one in the desert?

Never again yes
but we will be different yes

We are better yes
we are smarter yes

Because we will invent something
smarter, faster stronger

Instead of becoming smarter faster stronger.
