World Con.

Here at London all of our morning classes are canceled due to World Council. This happens twice a year and reps from all the centers(campuses) do presentations and we discuss current issues. One issue is the fact that FW does not give grades, so there is an impromtu idea that for every credit you recieve you do 10 pages of writing or documentation. Sure it sounds like a grand idea, but I am applying for 17 credits so that equals 170 pages. Not bad you say,but let us think.....
There are 40 students writing 170 pages each for their portfolio
Only three tutors who look at them
Lets say you can read and grade 40 pages per hour
These tutors only have 5 days to grade portfolios,...
Instead of doing the math... think about the complications that arise with this type of grading system and the things that get lost.. The hard work the students put in, but the teachers can not grade it accurately beacause they do not have the correct resources.
